Adwitiyam
Adwitiyam is an innovative initiative of Satyam Roychowdhury Foundation to improve the quality of Education of the students across the districts of West Bengal. Adwitiyam focuses on high-quality sustainable interventions to address the gaps in the education system of the students attending local schools in the villages. The initiative is directly carried out by the teachers and students of 15 branches of Techno India Group Public Schools (SRC initiatives). Each school has adopted at least 50 children in the age group of 6-12 years, making it a total of 750 plus students, who are trained thrice a week after regular school hours and provided with healthy refreshments after their learning experience. Adwitiyam is sustainable as the learners get access to the state of the art infrastructure of the established schools, the skill of trained dedicated teachers, and healthy refreshments funded by the Satyam Roychowdhury Foundation. The teaching strategies of Adwitiyam reconfigure teaching methodologies, breaking down traditional rote learning tactics, and making the learning experience fun and enjoyable. It is innovative in its approach as it involves a combination of activities like learning English, playing in the fields, dancing, singing, visiting the Science laboratory, painting, and various other group activities. It is outcome driven as at the end of the session a programme is organized to showcase the skills acquired by the learners and encourage them with Certificates and Prizes.
Adwitiyam does not seek to replace learning at Government or private schools. It aims to supplement the learning with digital access, English speaking, and socio-emotional development to make the learners confident, and better equipped to face the world. Adwitiyam spreading to remote areas across West Bengal with the help of sixteen state-of-the-art learning centers is truly an ace educational initiative.
